Our general category was cell phone but I think it is very indicative of emerging technology that you took our category one step further to Blackberry. I think we could do a tetrad on "mobile phones" or on "computers" or on "handheld" devices or on "music media" and they would all end up on SmartPhones.
I liked your Reverses category. It is very interesting. Indeed I think you are "on to something." We should put these into a time capsule and come back in 50 years and check and see . . .
I enjoyed reading your tetrad. The most interesting and thought provoking part for me was the "Rekindles" section. As with so many other people, I have owned or presently use all of these items. It is novel experience to realize that they are all currently contained in the portable phones we now depend so heavily upon.
I found your "reverses" section very interesting! Mobility seems to be the commonality in many recent and emerging technologies and I see how that might change the traditional parameters of work and education, temporally as well as geographically.
I also agree with your list of technologies that the Blackberry rekindles. I refer to my Blackberry as my brain! I have to admit, I've become pretty dependent on it because of all the things it enables me to do from any location.
